According to Yi-Fu Tuan’s book ‘Escapism’, we all have the urge to retreat from moments of stress and uncertainty, although, this can either manifest in inventive ways or irresponsible ways. ‘Reverie’, a high-end ready-to-wear collection, aims to provide this escape through creativity, using fashion as a tool for peace and imagination, inviting individuals to experience a pleasant respite from reality.

To evoke these feelings of tranquility, fluidity, and the ethereal, ‘Reverie’ takes inspiration from natural, calming elements, such as mist, clouds, and waves, utilising soft, organic shapes, long drapes, and calming neutral tones. Using medium to heavy weight wool fabrics to create structure and shape for the garment’s silhouettes, the designs also integrate characteristics from mythical creatures such as tails and wings, merging these features with feminine silhouettes. This collection blends beauty and tranquility, in efforts to inspire hope, peace, and a deeper connection with the dream world.
