Focusing on the principles of accentuation and exaggeration, Bubble Collection utilises skills acquired during my studies to modernise the bubble-style silhouettes of the 1980s. This decade is best known for juxtaposing tight garments against larger, voluminous design details. Gathers, pleats, padding and oversized elements play with notions of proportion, shape and scale. Contrasting textures are also present to alter the way we perceive accentuation.
