"New Skin" is a collection that reflects my personal style through the fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary fashion. Drawing inspiration from traditional Swedish folk dress an integral part of my own cultural background I reimagined classic elements and artisanal techniques within a modern design context. This interplay between the old and the new creates a deliberate contrast in aesthetics, encouraging a more meaningful dialogue between tradition and innovation in fashion.

Rather than continuously cycling through past decades for inspiration, New Skin suggests that the path to discovering fresh ideas lies in reconnecting with our roots. By revisiting and reinterpreting traditional garments, we can push fashion forward in a more authentic and grounded way.

The collection features a carefully curated selection of material sheepskin leather, organic poplin cotton, and stretch lace each chosen to enhance the theme of contrast, both texturally and visually. These fabric choices reflect the tension between structure and softness, tradition and modernity.

I have also drawn influence from contemporary designers known for their contrasting aesthetics, such as Alice McCall and For Love & Lemons, whose work similarly blends romanticism with edge and heritage with innovation.
