ODE TO TIME.

Design series centers on the prevalent issue of “age anxiety” in contemporary society, inspired by closely observing how my mother responds to the changes that come with aging. As the years pass, she frequently dyes her white hair and conceals the spots and wrinkles on her face to counteract the traces that time has left on her.

I have chosen to express these “traces of aging” in a tangible way through my garments. Through this collection, I hope to encourage people to reconsider these marks of aging—white hair, wrinkles, and spots. They are not negative symbols but rather “badges” of life that reflect accumulated experiences and wisdom. They convey a sense of calm, stability, simplicity, and self-acceptance. Each wrinkle and strand of white hair is a gift from time, an indispensable part of one’s life.

Aging is an inevitable result of life, a journey every person will undergo. Even as time and people grow older, they are enriched by the unique colours that come from life’s trials. Embracing this is fundamental to showcasing the vitality of this new stage in life.
