‘Practical Allure’ is an eclectic collection that juxtaposes contrasting ideas of refined evening wear with functional signifiers of hike wear, to consider the principles of form and function in an equal context. Signifiers of hike wear are evident through functional pockets, straps, rivets, and zips, while elements of refined evening wear are evident in layered garments that feature a diverse range of sheer fabrics. Intentionally modular, playing with elements of silhouette and scale, the collection marries notion of conceptual design with a functional approach.
