“Evolvere04”draws inspiration from my childhood and the familiar and comfortable feelings provoked and combines them with the nature of growing and changing into adulthood, battling societal challenges along the way while emerging into individuality and pursuing personal growth. I have explored modularity within my garments, to represent the constantly evolving nature of humans symbolising the process of self-discovery and growth explored through visual expression and design. 

The collection features structured and tailored garments, uniformed and concealed with asymmetrical hem lines, designed to cover portions of the body leaving some parts exposed. Contrasted with organic silhouettes with interchangeable hem lengths. My collection is made with versatility in mind, all the garments can be worn with each other, upholding a value of mine: sustainability, and reducing textile waste. Taking inspiration from Issey Miyake and his innovative design in modularity and sustainability, I have explored traditional pattern cutting techniques and zero waste design throughout my collection. 

The fabrication of natural plain fibres expresses the raw and vulnerable moments humans experience combined with layered and organic silhouettes to express the forever changing growth, this combined with playful fabrics to demonstrate the self-expressing progression displayed throughout my collection.
