The Rebirth of Butterflies

The process of butterfly metamorphosis is painful, long and dangerous. However, if there is no painful cocooning process, butterflies are vulnerable, and their survival rate is low. Butterflies symbolise the crafts and techniques of minority nationalities within this collection. Passing on traditional skills through clothing is a way to transfer these inherited skills into modern fashion, allowing the designer and wearer to experience great changes; just like butterflies emerging from the cocoon.
